About the role 

The Senior Corporate Accounting Revenue Analyst position will report to the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager within the revenue accounting operations and work closely with our content development, media and entertainment, and FP&A teams. Within the context of Roku’s rapid growth/expansion, this person will start as an individual contributor, learning the complex and evolving processes, data, and product structures while contributing to monthly and quarterly close activities for revenue and TRC (The Roku Channel) COGS, validating and reconciling revenue and TRC COGS related accounts, assisting in analyzing data, and preparing reports for auditors and management. An ideal candidate should possess great attention to detail, thorough knowledge of US-GAAP, and be proactive/highly motivated to get things done. We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual with the ability to work independently and cooperatively with other teams in support of the company’s revenue reporting drivers and initiatives. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $157,500 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. What you’ll be doing 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain TRC SVOD payables process to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze new and existing TRC SVOD agreements to ensure accurate accounting for partner payments
  • Collaborate with TRC SVOD and Roku Pay teams on initiatives for expanding product offering, analyzing and reviewing cost implications
  • Analyze new and existing revenue business models relating to Media and Entertainment, and Content Distribution agreements, with ASC 606 to properly recognize revenue
  • Partner cross functionally with FP&A, Legal, Content Acquisition, Ad Sales/Online Media, and Enterprise Engineering to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements
  • Uphold and ensure compliance of SOX 404 Key controls 
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly entries and general ledger reconciliations associated with revenue, deferred revenue, un-billed, and cost accounts
  • Prepare quarterly and YE disclosures for financial reporting
  • Prepare / update annual SSP / FV analyses and memos
  • Prepare / consolidate balance sheet flux analyses with team for corporate management review 
  • Maintain and provide quarterly and annual audit support as requested by internal and external auditors
  • Assist in evolving projects / responsibilities, including acquisition consolidated reporting and process automation

  

We’re excited if you have 

  • Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition 
  • 3+ years of Big 4 experience is a plus 
  • CPA is preferred but not required 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent 
  • Prior experience in the digital advertising ecosystem preferred 
  • Superior Excel skills 
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical skills combined with good business judgment 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills 
  • Motivated by dynamic and challenging environment 
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple and constantly changing priorities
