About the role

The Performance Media Manager is an individual contributor role that is responsible for leading the development of comprehensive media strategies that drive streaming hours, subscriptions, and engagement by effectively & efficiently using owned and operated media. This role works across multiple teams and requires comfort in using data to create the most effective and agnostic media plan. 

 

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute successful performance marketing strategies on a Roku device to effectively and efficiently drive KPI performance for internal business areas  
  • Liaise with key stakeholders on the marketing, creative, product, and analytics teams to implement best practices using performance marketing results to inform decisions 
  • Partner with analytics to provide consistent and actionable performance analysis, reporting, and insights that feed back into the strategy 
  • Be the POC with the product, analytics, and engineering teams on all media capabilities and measurement projects, ensuring requirements are defined and implemented 
  • Utilize analytics and platform tools to track and optimize KPIs 
  • Report performance to Marketing and TRC PS Partnership senior leadership 
  • Have a keen understanding of Roku’s ad products and campaign execution capabilities 
  • Ensure all campaigns are being captured correctly in our internal reporting tools 

 

We're excited if you have

  • 4+ years in omni-channel & performance marketing 
  • In-depth understanding of the Streaming TV landscape  
  • Experience working on omnichannel campaigns in entertainment or streaming TV is strongly preferred 
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity 
  • Media planning experience preferred 
  • Ability to extract actionable insights from data analysis and translate them into tasks for both marketing and technical stakeholders 
  • Translate business goals and synthesize them into an effective high-level campaign strategy 
  • Experience making data-driven marketing decisions to improve and optimize campaigns 
  • Experience developing content engagement campaigns at a media, streaming, or subscription service is a plus 
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment 
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple work streams at once 
  • Strong judgment and attention to detail with an understanding of marketing & advertising ethics, including but not limited to privacy laws, and working in a cookie-less world 
  • Positive and collaborative personality; a commitment to ensuring all activities undertaken are as successful as possible 
  • Ability to operate and thrive under tight timelines and the ability to pivot with ease 
  • Must have strong strategic, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Familiar with Tableau, Looker, Google Analytics, and other similar analytics platforms 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or equivalent field, required 
  • Position may require travel 
  • AI literacy and curiosity. You have either 1) tried Gen AI in your previous work or outside of work, or 2) are curious about Gen AI and have explored it.
