About the team

The Admin Experience (AX) team at Snowflake develops seamless products for our Admin users, enabling efficient management of Snowflake's services. We cater to essential user journeys including cost and workload optimization, data governance and security, and organizational management.

What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to shape the vision and craft the strategy for the AX team. By partnering closely with product management and design teams you will deliver experiences that delight our customers and empower them to leverage Snowflake in their organizations.

You will foster the development of the team by providing coaching, support, and creating clarity. You will grow your team by owning recruiting and staffing to meet the needs of the business. You will foster a safe, highly transparent, high-performance culture. You will ensure that the team is executing towards serving the current needs of its customers, while also ensuring that we stay ahead of technological trends and future demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the long term vision and strategy for the Admin Experience engineering team 
  • In partnership with Product Management and Design, prioritize and execute on a roadmap that delivers value for customers and enables the organization to scale
  • Partner closely with backend counterparts to define interfaces and ship seamless and performant full stack products
  • Attract amazing talent in partnership with Snowflake recruiting
  • Help engineers grow and advance in their career
  • Contribute to Snowflake-wide engineering initiatives

 

Who you are 

  • 5+ years of engineering management experience
  • Customer obsessed
  • A strong track record of recruiting, leading and growing technical teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
  • Extensive experience in building large scale web applications
  • A proven ability to work cross-functionally to influence and align partner teams towards a common goal and vision 
  • A reputation for delivering quality, great product instincts and relentless drive for delivering great user experiences
  • A strategic mindset and strong sense of what to prioritize for maximum impact
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding written and oral English language skills
  • Ability to work on-site at our San Mateo, CA office
  • Proficient in Typescript, React, and SQL
