Over 1 million homeowners have benefited from our simple, fast, and frictionless technology that makes the adoption of these products more affordable, accessible, and easier to understand. Thousands of professionals deploying home efficiency and solar solutions rely on GoodLeap’s proprietary, AI-powered applications and developer tools to drive more transparent customer communication, deeper business intelligence, and streamlined payment and operations. Our platform has led to more than $30 billion in financing for sustainable solutions since 2018.
GoodLeap is also proud to support our award-winning nonprofit, GivePower, which is building and deploying life-saving water and clean electricity systems, changing the lives of more than 1.6 million people across Africa, Asia, and South America.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager – Data Platform to define and lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of GoodLeap’s enterprise data platform. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for enabling secure, scalable, and self-service data infrastructure that empowers teams across engineering, analytics, operations, and business units.

You will play a critical role in driving GoodLeap’s evolution into a truly data-driven organization. This includes building trust in data through governance and cataloging, enabling compliant data sharing in regulated environments, and promoting modern platform capabilities that unlock value for both internal teams and customers. You’ll partner deeply with cross-functional leaders across all departments of the organization.

If you have a deep understanding of modern data architectures and platforms (without needing to be an engineer), a passion for scalable product thinking, and a strong track record of hands-on product execution, this is the opportunity to help shape the foundation of data at GoodLeap.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for GoodLeap’s enterprise data platform — aligning priorities across data engineering, analytics, business, and governance stakeholders
  • Champion the concept of Data as a Product, promoting reusable, well-documented, and discoverable data assets with clear ownership and lifecycle management
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to support scalable, modern data infrastructure — while owning product strategy, user requirements, and success metrics
  • Drive key platform initiatives such as data ingestion, pipeline orchestration, data modeling and transformation, and real-time access, using tools like Databricks, Fivetran, and Spark.
  • Define and manage the product strategy for data governance and compliance capabilities — supporting regulatory requirements like PCI, CCPA, and FCRA
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of data cataloging and metadata solutions (e.g., Unity Catalog, Altan) to improve data discoverability, lineage, and documentation across domains
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Ops) to ensure the data platform supports their evolving needs with high trust and transparency
  • Create detailed product requirement documents, user stories, and technical specifications for integrations, data onboarding, and data product initiatives
  • Monitor platform usage, establish SLAs, and define success metrics to drive adoption and continuous improvement
  • Promote a culture of data stewardship and cross-functional ownership to improve data quality, usability, and reliability
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • 10+ years of product management or related experience, with at least 4+ years focused on data platform, infrastructure, or enterprise data products
  • Deep familiarity with the modern data stack, such as Databricks or Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, Fivetran/Airbyte, Spark, Redshift, BigQuery
  • Experience implementing data cataloging tools (e.g., Altan, Alation, Collibra, Unity Catalog) and defining data governance processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of data architecture concepts, such as data lakes, warehouse modeling, ELT patterns, and real-time streaming — with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams without owning architecture directly
  • Hands-on experience writing clear and actionable requirements for data platform features, including integrations, pipelines, access controls, and internal data products
  • Prior experience working in regulated environments (e.g., finance, lending), with strong knowledge of PCI, CCPA, SOC2, and other compliance considerations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — equally comfortable engaging with technical leads and executive-level business stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; able to manage ambiguity and drive decisions in complex environments
  • A passion for building platform products that empower others, foster autonomy, and deliver long-term leverage across teams
  • Everything You Need, One Platform.
