iOS Engineer - GoDaddy

Location Details:

At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

• GoDaddy Studio (Formerly Over Graphic Design App) - iOS, Android: Our Award-winning graphic design app. It is one of Apple’s 2019 apps of the year in the “Storytelling Simplified” category and is regularly featured across Google Play globally.
• GoDaddy App – iOS, Android: Build a website, buy a domain, manage inventory, and sell everywhere.
• SmartLine – iOS, Android: Get a second phone number for your business calls & texts.
• GoDaddy Conversations – iOS, Android (Coming soon…): Single place to communicate with your customers on multiple channels (Website communication, Facebook & Instagram messengers, SMS, Voice, etc.).
• GoDaddy Investor App – iOS, Android: Helping domain investors register valuable pre-owned domain names with the world’s largest domain registrar anytime, anywhere.

We are looking for a strong software engineer with a mobile application focus to be a part of the journey. The right individual will be self-driven, positive, and able to amplify the talents of others.

What you'll get to do...

• Contribute to our iOS mobile application(s) using Swift to deliver compelling user experiences.
• Understand the nuances between mobile platforms and provide advice and guidance to other developers on handling those nuances.
• Participate in planning, architectural discussion, implementation, and maintenance of mobile applications.
• Apply agile approaches to software development.
• Be accountable for code quality by writing unit, integration, and automation tests.
• Help and advice in the selection of the most appropriate frameworks to use with the product.
• Contribute to Open-Source projects related to the tech stack and domain of our products.
• Perform code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding best practices.

Your experience should include...

• 4+ years of professional mobile iOS development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and the Apple SDK.
• Deep understanding of design patterns and how they can be applied to mobile development.
• Experience in working with RESTful APIs that connect with iOS applications.
• Experience in debugging mobile applications.
• Knowledge in writing automated tests using mocked data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in an agile team environment.

You might also have...

• Experience with reactive programming, dependency injection techniques, MVI/MVVM architecture patterns.
• CICD tools such as Bitrise, GitHub Actions, and Fastlane.
• Functional state management.
• Graphics-related experience.
