Job description

We’re looking for a strategic, highly analytical leader to head our Marketing Operations organization. The Asana Marketing team is responsible for fueling business growth and building a brand customers love. We create campaigns and content to attract new accounts and inspire current ones to grow with us. In this role, you will lead our growth ops, funnel ops, and martech initiatives, acting as a strong partner and advocate for Marketing while driving operational excellence and AI transformation across our technology stack.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Set the strategic direction, objectives, and key results for the global Marketing Operations team to support inbound, outbound, digital marketing, and event initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing operations organization, driving alignment across sales development, revenue, and regional marketing leaders.
  • Champion and defend marketing strategy by using rigorous, data-driven insights to diagnose operational bottlenecks and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Partner with Demand Generation Systems to evaluate, acquire, and optimize our enterprise martech stack for maximum velocity and execution quality.
  • Lead AI transformation programs across marketing and sales development operations, implementing innovative solutions to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Optimize funnel operations to ensure lead routing, account coverage, and contact database quality match sales coverage decisions and target growth goals.

About you

  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
  • Proven track record as a senior operational leader (VP or equivalent executive level) within a high-growth, scale-stage enterprise B2B company.
  • Highly analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to leverage complex data sets to set targets, solve operational issues, and measure business impact.
  • Strong cross-functional influencer who can challenge senior stakeholders, defend marketing strategies, and drive consensus across Sales Operations, Revenue, and Go-To-Market teams.
  • Extensive experience building, scaling, and managing large global teams (including managing managers) in a matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing AI solutions or prototypes to modernize marketing tech stacks and sales development workflows.
  • Deep functional expertise across modern enterprise martech stacks, lead routing, funnel architecture, and data governance.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $277,000 -$326,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
