Job Description: Do you enjoy creating intuitive tools that make complicated systems easy to understand and use? Are you interested in applying your skills to build tools for testing and ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles? The Simulation Scenario Generation team at Zoox is looking for a full-stack engineer to enable and extend authoring of challenging real-world driving scenarios.
In this role, you will:
Develop autonomous driving simulation scenario tools to author, inspect, and evaluate the performance of autonomous driving software.
Extend a web-based front-end for 3D graphical definition of detailed autonomous driving simulation scenarios.
Extend a web back-end to interact with simulation, autonomous driving, and agentic AI software.
Work closely with internal customers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
Qualifications
3+ years of industry experience in C++ and Python development
2+ years of industry experience, with proficiency in Web APIs and TypeScript
Experience building sophisticated single-page web applications with modern web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue
Experience developing scalable web back-end services
A BS in Computer Science or related field
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with 3D libraries/engines (e.g., Three.js, OpenGL, Unity, etc.)
Experience with simulation, robotics, or autonomous vehicles
