Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, identifying defects, creating nonconformances, and managing the defective parts via a Material Review Board (MRB) process.ResponsibilitiesQualifications
- Maintain quality standards for products a company produces
- Works closely with Quality Engineer to perform needed inspections for control plans.
- Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
- Inspecting and testing the materials and equipment produced by a company
- Using tools such as micrometer, screw gauges, calipers, scales, etc. to measure products
- Removing products that don’t meet production standards.
- Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team
- Performing ADHOC inspections for R&D team
- Auditing of processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents and manuals
- Inspection tool experience (ex. Micrometer, dial indicator, profilometer, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
- Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations
- Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Epicor ERP system
- Familiarity with quality standards like ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or AS9100
- Metrology experience
