Job description

Consulting is changing, and we’re not like other firms. Veeva Business Consulting was launched in 2019 and has grown quickly and organically to a global organization of over 400 people. Our team is focused on making the life sciences industry more efficient and effective through software, data, and consulting working together.
We expect significant growth in Business Consulting as we look towards 2030, and are looking for great people to make it happen.

The Role

As a Senior Consultant in R&D, you will help customers bring treatments to patients faster by transforming how they work with Technology, Data, and AI. You will focus on reshaping operating models, driving organizational change, and measuring tangible business value. R&D is a broad area that includes several distinct practices: Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance. You will focus in one of these practices based on your background, interests, and needs of the business. You will build credibility, depth, and relationships in that practice, but staffing will remain fungible across R&D and movement between practices is always permitted.
What You'll Do
  • Project Leadership: Act as the Lead for small-scale projects, managing end-to-end design and delivery of high-quality customer solutions
  • Team Management: Lead project teams of 2–3 consultants, developing your people leadership skills in a project setting
  • Business Development: Drive practice growth by leading proposal development and identifying new opportunities within your engagements
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Solve complex challenges for Life Sciences leaders by leveraging Veeva’s unique data, software, and AI insights
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Support multiple projects across R&D while developing deep expertise in your specific practice
  • Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in Life Sciences Consulting (Business or Management Consulting preferred)
  • Domain Knowledge: Proven expertise in biopharma ClinOps, ClinData, Regulatory, Safety, or general R&D strategy
  • Analytical Rigor: A strong mindset for both quantitative and qualitative reasoning
  • Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of Veeva products
  • Experience delivering SaaS or Tech-enabled consulting solutions
