About the role

The Regulatory Operations Specialist is a member of the Regulatory Operations team. The Specialist will be responsible for helping to ensure that our innovative kiosks are operating in compliance with any applicable state and local regulations. This includes applying for and renewing various licenses required for the Company to operate its kiosk network, as well as communicating orally and in writing with city officials, law enforcement, and other public agencies.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Research local requirements, documenting them in our internal systems, and executing on what is needed to fulfill the requirements;
  • Fill out and submitting license/permit applications for ecoATM kiosks in local jurisdictions to gain approvals for our operations;
  • Establish and maintain reporting requirements and reporting systems as required by state and local authorities;
  • Oversee ecoATM locations and regions and maintain good legal standing at city, county, and state levels;
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for licensing authorities, regulators, and law enforcement;
  • Maintaining accurate internal records, filings, and data entry as needed;
  • Keeping accurate files for each location under your responsibility.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree OR 1+ year(s) of relevant work experience required;
  • Prior experience in a legal environment, and previous interactions with Law Enforcements or Regulators strongly preferred;
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM preferred;
  • Experience with managing filing requirements for a nationwide company is desirable;

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven record of excellent written and oral communications;
  • Solid negotiation skills and comfortable resolving issues over the phone;
  • Dependable and trustworthy; 
  • Must work well within a collaborative team environment;
  • Excellent computer application skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe; 
  • Ability to use CRMs and collaborative database applications;
  • Being self-reliant and able to independently resolve issues as they arise.

Travel: ~5%

Location: Hybrid, 3x week - San Diego, CA 

Pay Rate: $26 (USD) Per Hour, 40 Hours per week

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 (“CA Pay Transparency Law”). Base pay information is based on market location. This position may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.
