Job description

Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played video game in the world, over 67 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As a Program Manager on the Korea Publishing team, you will collaborate with the team and cross-functional partners to streamline communication, define clear roles and responsibilities, ensure follow-through to drive progress, deliver on time, and standardize workflows and templates to scale operational value with efficiency and clarity.

You will report to Director, Publishing of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build & drive project plans with clear scope, goals, and deliverables with project leads
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, map out partners and dependencies
  • Proactively identify project dependencies, track issues, and ensure follow-ups
  • Create and maintain documentations to bring clarity of responsibilities and alignment across teams, facilitating smooth project execution
  • Monitor project progress, make necessary adjustments as needed, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish clear processes and drive alignments on workflows
  • Serve as the central point of contact to coordinate project progress
  • Onboard partners to operational toolkits and processes to promote consistency and execution efficiency. Manage change requests and flexible with problem-solving in creative ways

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or comparable work experience.
  • 6 years of experience in consulting, project management, or large-scale programs or multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven experience in managing regional budgets, including allocating resources effectively and tracking financial performance.
  • Significant experience in launching or scaling new products or services across different regions or markets.
  • Deep understanding of cultural nuances and regional market needs, with the ability to advocate for local needs in global decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects or initiatives simultaneously, ensuring alignment with global goals, timelines, and budget constraints.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Multilingual capabilities relevant to the subregions, enhancing communication with local stakeholders and partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies for publishing and community engagement.
  • Proven success working in a matrixed environment, managing cross-functional teams across various geographies.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
