Job description

Why Join AngelList

We’re solving some of the hardest problems in venture capital and private markets. You’ll work with a team that values precision, urgency, and long-term thinking. If you want to shape how startups are funded and built, this is the place.

About AngelList

We exist to accelerate innovation by increasing the number of successful startups in the world. We do this by building the financial infrastructure that makes it easier for more people to invest in world-changing companies.

AngelList is the nexus of venture capital and the startup community. We support $171B+ in assets and have powered investments into over 13,000 startups—over 300 of which are unicorns. Today, 57% of top-tier U.S. VC deals involve investors on AngelList. While our scale is large, our ambition is larger.

If you're excited to build the future of private markets, come build with us.

About the Role:

AngelList supports more than $200B in assets across 30,000+ funds and syndicates, with over $80B moved through our banking infrastructure. Our network includes 2,300+ GPs and 72,000+ LPs, and more than a decade of private-market transaction data sits underneath the platform.

The opportunity now is to turn that scale, knowledge, and customer trust into a stronger market position and a durable source of growth. We are looking for a senior, hands-on marketing leader to build the positioning, launch rhythm, campaigns, and distribution behind AngelList’s businesses.

You’ll start with Funds. AngelList supports everything from a founder’s first SPV to $500M institutional funds, but many of the firms we want to serve next formed their view of us years ago, when AngelList was best known as where emerging managers got started. Your first challenge is to change that perception without losing what made the brand valuable. Nova, the banking network underpinning private markets, comes next.

You’ll work directly with Product on what we are building and why it matters, with Sales on why important deals are won and lost, and with the GMs and operators who know our customers best. Your job is to turn what AngelList knows into positioning, proof, and programs that change how the market sees us—and ultimately change customer behavior, pipeline, and revenue.

This is a player-coach role. You’ll manage a growth marketer, lead contractors across SEO, production, and creative, and build the team as your work earns further investment. This is a role for a doer: you’ll write the positioning, build the campaigns, talk to customers, and lead important launches yourself.

For the right marketer, it is a rare amount of leverage.

What You’ll Own
  • Shape the story. Develop positioning and messaging for AngelList and its businesses. Make sophisticated financial products easy to understand and hard to dismiss.
  • Lead important launches. Own the narrative, enablement, content, distribution, and measurement around the product and company moments that matter.
  • Turn proof into persuasion. Bring customer outcomes, institutional logos, migration results, product advantages, and market data into the buying process.
  • Publish what AngelList knows. Turn proprietary data and in-house expertise into useful, opinionated work that GPs and LPs share with one another.
  • Build durable distribution. Develop and test programs across content, customer networks, events, search, partnerships, and channels we have not tried yet.
  • Partner deeply with Sales. Understand why we win, why we lose, and where the story breaks. Build marketing and enablement that improve those outcomes.
  • Establish a consistent shipping rhythm. Put meaningful work into the market every week, learn from the response, and reinvest behind what works.
  • Build the function. Manage internal and external contributors, set a high standard for the work, and add capabilities as the opportunity becomes clear.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • You are an exceptional product marketer and writer. You can get deep into a complicated business, find the thing that matters, and explain it plainly.
  • You have substantial experience in product, growth, or integrated B2B marketing, including positioning, launches, and campaigns you led end to end.
  • You have managed marketers or external partners while continuing to produce important work yourself.
  • You have marketed to sophisticated B2B buyers—such as funds, finance teams, or CFOs—where buying decisions are considered and the target market is specific enough to name.
  • You care equally about story and distribution. You know that a strong narrative is only valuable if the right people encounter it.
  • You have strong commercial instincts. You care whether the work changes customer behavior, creates qualified opportunities, and contributes to revenue, assets, or transaction volume.
  • You create direction in ambiguous situations and become credible quickly by talking to customers, salespeople, product leaders, and operators.
  • You use data with discipline without pretending attribution is more precise than it is.
  • You have high standards, move quickly, and prefer doing excellent work to managing a large machine.
