Client Sales at Brex

At Brex, we believe the best growth comes from deepening relationships with the customers who already trust us. As the Manager of Mid-Market Client Sales, you will lead a team of Client Sales Executives (CSEs) focused on expanding revenue within our Mid-Market customer segment. Your team will drive Net Revenue (NR) by building strong executive relationships, delivering consultative guidance, and unlocking upsell opportunities across our product suite. This role is ideal for a sales leader who understands the dynamics of the Mid-Market segment—fast-moving companies with complex needs—and knows how to scale repeatable, data-driven account strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with Customer Success, Underwriting, Implementation, and Marketing to deliver an experience that supports long-term growth and customer retention.

What You’ll Do
As Manager, Mid-Market Client Sales Executives (CSEs), you will:

  • Lead and coach a team of Mid-Market Client Sales Executives focused on account expansion, churn mitigation, and retention.
  • Own Net Revenue (NR) targets for the Mid-Market segment by driving upsell, cross-sell, and expansion strategies.
  • Build scalable playbooks for account segmentation, territory planning, and lifecycle management specific to Mid-Market customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to align go-to-market efforts with customer needs.
  • Act as a strategic partner to key customers and support your team in building executive-level relationships that create long-term value.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in deal strategy, pipeline management, forecasting, and renewal planning.
  • Hire, train, and scale a high-performing team aligned to growth in the Mid-Market customer base.

Where you'll work

This role will be based in any of our Hub Locations. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive performance on core metrics: Net Revenue (NR), upsell pipeline, account coverage, renewal rate, and churn.
  • Standardize account planning frameworks and value realization strategies across the team.
  • Support CSE’s in sales skill development through trainings, shadowing, and feedback.
  • Provide deal support and strategy for complex or high-potential Mid-Market accounts.
  • Use customer insights to inform Brex’s product roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market approach.
  • Promote a strong feedback loop between the field and internal teams (i.e. Customer Success, Marketing, Implementation) to continuously improve customer outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of B2B SaaS experience, including account management or customer growth roles.
  • 2+ years managing a quota-carrying team in a Mid-Market or commercial segment.
  • Track record of driving account expansion and retention in a recurring revenue business.
  • Deep understanding of the Mid-Market customer lifecycle, including decision-making processes and buying triggers.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with experience in using data to drive decisions and strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.

Compensation

The expected OTE range for our Hub Locations with this role is $192,000 - $215,000. Salt Lake City's range is $170,000 - $200,000. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. The OTE figure listed here includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance.  Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
