Job description

Do you want to be a part of the clean energy movement? Are you passionate about improving our environment for this generation and those to follow? Are you ready to take on new challenges and collaborate with a future-focused team leading the way into new markets? Join Nexamp!

This is where you can learn from industry leaders and become one yourself. It's fast-paced, mission-based work that challenges the status quo. Be on the team that's changing the world.

What we’re looking for:

Nexamp is seeking a Manager, Financing Operations to own and drive post-close financing execution across Nexamp’s construction debt portfolios and, over time, selected tax equity and term financing workstreams where they intersect with construction financing milestones. This role will serve as the primary cross-functional owner of Nexamp’s construction and tax equity funding process—from tranche notice through investor closing—across MC/SC fundings, term financing, and other structured workstreams tied to financing milestones.

You will lead a growing team and cross-functional workstreams responsible for conditions precedent (CP) tracking, documentation workflows, reporting coordination, and funding readiness. You will also shape the operating model, governance cadence, and playbooks that make these processes repeatable as Nexamp’s portfolio grows.

You will report into the Director, Financing Operations.  This role is hybrid in our Boston office.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop Finance Operations Specialists through workload planning, prioritization, coaching, development, performance feedback, and clear accountability for quality and timing.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end tax equity funding process for MC/SC fundings, including tranche structuring, funding checklists, CP tracking, closing coordination, and investor deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for funding milestones, partnering with Capital Markets, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, investors, and counsel to keep fundings on schedule and escalate material risks with clear recommendations.
  • Design, maintain, and continuously improve funding checklists, readiness trackers, documentation packages, and reporting support materials so they meet investor, internal control, and audit standards.
  • Establish quality standards for trackers, data rooms, document packages, and reporting workflows, including naming conventions, status definitions, completeness checks, version control, and clear ownership.
  • Run recurring team check-ins, working sessions, and cross-functional governance forums to remove blockers, align on funding cadence and dependencies, and keep execution ahead of key deadlines.
  • Coordinate operational tracking of financing-related certifications and compliance support items, including prevailing wage, domestic content, and other IRA/ITC-related documentation where required.
  • Represent Financing Operations in cross-functional and, as needed, investor-facing discussions; document and refine SOPs, RACIs, and playbooks that scale with portfolio volume and financing complexity.

What you’ll bring: (adding in required skills AND Nexamp competencies)

  • 4–7+ years of relevant experience in project finance operations, construction financing operations, portfolio operations, loan or closing operations, structured finance support, real estate or documentation-heavy transaction support, or a similar operational role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing CP checklists, closing workflows, documentation packages, recurring reporting obligations, or related financing operations processes in a high-volume environment.
  • 1–3+ years of people leadership experience, or strong team-lead experience with responsibility for assigning work, coaching others, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Operations, Legal Studies, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience in financing operations, documentation-heavy portfolio operations, or a similar environment.
  • Experience coordinating across Finance, Legal, Operations, external advisors, and other stakeholders to gather inputs, close action items, and keep milestone-driven work on schedule.
  • Ability to interpret credit agreements, CP requirements, reporting calendars, and related financing documentation, then translate those requirements into actionable team workplans.
  • Strong project management, organizational, written communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple facilities, deadlines, and dependencies with limited supervision.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities, increasing portfolio complexity, and new financing structures.
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please apply.
