Lead Quality Engineer
Job requirements
Experience Range: 4–6 years of QA/testing experience, including at least 3 years specifically working with Salesforce CPQ applications Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases for Salesforce CPQ applications, validating all business and technical requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across configuration, pricing, quoting, approvals, and integrations within the CPQ domain
  • Investigate production and pre-production defects, conduct detailed root cause analysis, and identify whether issues originate from configuration, code, data, integrations, or business rules
  • Validate defect fixes, perform regression testing for enhancements, releases, patches, and hotfixes, and ensure issues are resolved without recurrence
  • Test CPQ functionalities including quoting, approvals, product configuration, pricing customization, quote templates, contracts, and renewals
  • Validate integrations between CPQ and CRM, ERP, billing, and other upstream/downstream systems, including API and data validation
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and support teams to resolve defects efficiently and enhance CPQ process quality
  • Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and defect documentation, and contribute to QA process automation and continuous improvement
  • Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ platform
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CPQ custom scripting
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CPQ quoting and approvals
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ product configuration and pricing customization
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CPQ quote templates, contracts, and renewals
  • Experience testing integrations between CPQ and CRM or ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and web services in CPQ integrations
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks for CPQ applications
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and release management processes
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test/defect management tools
  • Exposure to performance and security testing in enterprise environments
  • Background in production support and incident management for CPQ systems
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist or equivalent certification
  • ISTQB Foundation Level or similar QA/testing certification
