Job description

About the Team

Rubrik's Renewal Strategy & Operations team protects one of the most valuable, fastest-compounding assets in enterprise software: $1.57 billion in subscription ARR, growing 32% year-over-year. Every one of those dollars sitsinside a renewal contract - which means protecting and compounding that ARR is one of the highest-leverage jobs in the company.

Renewal Strategy & Operations is the team that builds the operating system for that asset. We sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, systems, and execution, and we are genuinely in a 0-to-1 build phase - the forecasting models, governance frameworks, quoting infrastructure, and playbooks that will run this business at 2x today's scale don't fully exist yet. That's the work: you will be designing the machine.

You'll bring a strategic voice that understands renewals as a business - thinking in terms of root cause, leverage points, and scalable systems. You'll partner directly with Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, and IT leaders, and your fingerprints will be on the foundation this function runs on for years.

What You'll Do

Be a strategic voice for the renewals business

  • Build the long-range plan for Renewals and drive rigor into QRF submissions, connecting the numbers to the underlying business story..
  • Bring a point of view to forecasting and business reviews: what's the risk, what's the driver, what should leadership actually do about it.

Build systems and foundations that scale

  • Design renewal KPIs and operating dashboards as durable infrastructure, not one-off reporting - built so they still make sense at 2x the ARR.
  • Run root-cause analysis on renewal performance trends and turn insights into process changes that stick, not just talking points for a review.

Own deal governance in the field

  • Build and roll out deal governance policies and manage deal reviews, working directly with Sales, Renewals, Finance, and Deal Desk leaders to get real adoption.

Operate cross-functionally, day to day

  • Be the connective tissue across Renewals, Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Product Ops, and IT - spotting gaps in how the renewal motion works and fixing them.

Who You Are

  •  3+ years in Renewal/Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Revenue Operations, or a similarly analytical, cross-functional business role - ideally at a high-growth SaaS or tech company.
  • An operator at heart: you'd rather fix the underlying process than produce the report describing what went wrong.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - you can take a loosely-defined problem, structure it, and drive it to a decision without needing someone to hand you the framework.
  • Confident operating cross-functionally: you can walk into a room with Finance or Sales leadership, hold your own, and drive toward alignment.
  • Nice to have: working fluency with Salesforce/CPQ and Excel or Google Sheets.
