Job description
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

Saronic is a fast-growing defense technology startup focused on developing secure, mission-critical systems for our customers. Our operations depend on seamless communication and collaboration—both in person and across secure digital platforms. We’re looking for a skilled Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to support a fast-paced, high-impact mission.

The A/V Technician will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our organization’s conference room and event technology. This role will provide hands-on assistance for meetings, executive events, and live productions across our campus. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with experience in A/V operations and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide immediate, on-site assistance for A/V issues in conference rooms, huddle spaces, and large event areas.
  • Support, maintain, and optimize A/V infrastructure, including Logitech, Huddly, and Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
  • Configure and maintain Q-SYS audio DSP and control systems for conferencing and room automation.
  • Operate, configure, and maintain video wall and digital signage systems across offices, production floors, and lab environments.
  • Manage and organize A/V inventory and logistics across multiple facilities.
  • Set up, operate, and dismantle A/V equipment for meetings, events, and live productions — including secure and executive sessions.
  • Perform proactive system health checks, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to ensure consistent performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex A/V, network, and integration issues spanning hardware, software, and connectivity layers.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and installation assistance for A/V and collaboration systems.
  • Manage support requests and incidents through ServiceNow, ensuring timely updates and resolution tracking.
  • Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Security teams to ensure A/V systems are integrated, secure, and compliant.
  • Produce and support podcasts, live streams, and internal broadcast events as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend event or system support.
  • Travel to remote offices, event sites, or production facilities (up to 25%).
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Audio Visual field; IT experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Logitech, Huddly, and Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.
  • Experience with Q-SYS audio DSP configuration, control, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with video wall and digital signage technologies and content management systems.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations involving executives or government officials.
  • Comfortable lifting and transporting A/V equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting A/V systems in production or manufacturing environments, including factory floors, engineering labs, or test facilities.
  • Familiarity with BrightSign or similar digital signage management tools.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, PoE, and VLAN configuration for A/V systems.
  • Background in podcasting, livestreaming, or video production.
  • Experience supporting A/V systems in secure or classified communications environments.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
  • Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing and walking within the office.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages).
