Insomnia Cookies is a chain of bakeries primarily in the United States that specializes in delivering warm cookies, baked goods, and ice cream. Based in New York and Philadelphia, it was started in 2003 by Jared Barnett and Seth Berkowitz, both students at the University of Pennsylvania. The company has more than 265 stores, mainly located throughout the continental U.S., with international locations in Canada and England. Many stores are located in close proximity to university campuses and cater to students who want to order cookies late at night.

Chip City began in Astoria, Queens opening their first bakery in July 2017. Chip City created a signature 5.5-ounce cookie that is served warm making it a chewy & gooey experience. It was a hit with the customers, and they formed lines daily at the Astoria bakery to purchase the cookies. Later sharing their love of the unique Chip City cookie experience on social media making the company go viral. Chip City now offers over 40 unique cookie creations with a daily rotating menu. It has since expanded to a total of 14 locations throughout New York, and growing !
