What You'll Do- We believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:
Safety Leadership & Policy Management- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of WHS policies and procedures.
- Stay current with industry developments, legislation, and best practices, ensuring they are incorporated into safety policies.
- Monitor and maintain safety records, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards.
- Lead emergency response planning and provide ongoing coaching on safety practices.
Operational Safety & Team Engagement- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with WHS laws and regulations.
- Develop and deliver safety training, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
- Investigate workplace events and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Collaborate with all teams, field supervisors, and management to address safety risks related to electrical installations and warehouse operations.
- Support HR with WHS compliance during recruitment, training, performance management, and offboarding.

- You are detail-oriented, with a strong grasp of WHS legislation and the ability to apply it practically on the ground.

- You stay calm in high-pressure situations and lead by example during incidents or emergencies.
- You value continuous improvement and are always looking for smarter, safer ways to work.
- You take pride in coaching others and are committed to building a strong, safety-first culture from the ground up.
Experience You’ll Need- Formal qualification in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), such as Cert IV in WHS or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar WHS role, ideally in electrical, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, Workers Compensation, Return to Work Coordination, and ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards.
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage teams to promote a safety-first culture.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems (e.g., ISO, LMS).
Experience That's a Plus- First Aid and CPR certification
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Fire Safety Advisor certification
- Electrical Licence
