Job description

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a VisionPLUS Developer with experience in the VisionPLUS CMS module, including posting changes, to support card processing systems across development, enhancements, defect resolution, and production support.

The role will contribute to the delivery and maintenance of card processing solutions, including credit and debit card lifecycle management, transaction processing, and reconciliation. The position requires experience with mainframe technologies, COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, and Agile delivery practices.

The role supports business objectives by maintaining reliable card processing capabilities, resolving production issues, delivering enhancements within agreed timelines, and ensuring solutions meet functional and operational requirements. Experience with VisionPLUS subsystems such as FAS, TRAMS, CTA, MBS, and ASM is preferred.

Software Requirements

Required

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software development using the VisionPLUS CMS module, including experience with posting changes.

  • Experience handling enhancements, defect fixes, and production support for card processing systems.

  • Experience with credit and debit card lifecycle processes, transaction processing, and reconciliation.

  • Experience developing and delivering software using Agile methodology.

  • Experience with the following operating systems and mainframe environments:

    • MVS

    • z/OS

    • Windows

    • Linux

  • Experience with the following databases and data management technologies:

    • VSAM

    • DB2

  • Experience with the following tools:

    • TSO

    • ISPF

    • EZTRV

    • File Aid

Overall Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, maintain, and support card processing applications using the VisionPLUS CMS module, including posting changes.

  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into appropriate application changes and technical solutions.

  • Deliver enhancements, defect fixes, and production support activities for card processing systems.

  • Support credit and debit card lifecycle processing, transaction processing, reconciliation, and related operational functions.

  • Develop, modify, test, and maintain COBOL, JCL, and CICS-based application components.

  • Work with VSAM and DB2 data structures to support application functionality, data integrity, processing accuracy, and issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, business teams, QA teams, operations teams, and other technology groups to deliver project outcomes.

  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and delivery activities.

  • Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and provide timely technical support.
