We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to bring their expert game UI/UX skills to help build a new game within our Narrative studio, the team behind the hit mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with top industry talent and contribute to the development of a new title, from initial concept to final product.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design wireframes, flows, and interactive prototypes to define the user experience for a new mobile narrative gameBuild and maintain the UI style guide and UX documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across the product as it evolves through developmentCreate high-quality, user-friendly UI assets aligned with the game’s art direction and design needsProvide cohesive UI design spanning the full player experience - from narrative gameplay and puzzle interactions to systems, progression, and monetization interfacesCollaborate closely with Game Design, Art, and Engineering to translate high-level goals into intuitive, visually compelling UI/UX solutionsRapidly prototype and iterate on UI/UX concepts based on team feedback, usability testing, and player insightsEnsure interface scalability and responsiveness across a range of devices and screen resolutionsResearch market trends and competitive titles to inform innovative and genre-appropriate UI/UX design
QUALIFICATIONS
3 - 5 years of experience designing UI/UX for mobile gamesSolid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices for mobile UXProficient in creating wireframes, flows, and interactive prototypes using tools like FigmaStrong experience in UI art, including creating polished game-ready assets such as icons, buttons, menus, HUDs, and other visual elementsStrong visual/graphic design foundation - typography, layout, composition, color theory, and information hierarchyStrong background in the design and implementation of UI VFX, animations, and transitions to enhance user feedbackProficiency with Unity, including integrating UI assets and understanding engine constraintsExcellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams (Art, Design, Engineering)Outstanding creativity and drive; Passion for narrative-driven or puzzle-based gameplay and crafting intuitive player experiencesComfortable working in an iterative, feedback-driven environment with evolving design goals
NICE TO HAVE
Focused experience in UI art and visual design, with proven ownership of UI visual style and asset productionExperience shipping a new mobile title from concept to live operationsBackground working on narrative-driven or puzzle adventure gamesFamiliarity with licensed IP and brand guideline constraints
