GENERAL SUMMARY

Provide oversight and direction for Columbia Generating Station’s Instrumentation and Control Maintenance training program by implementing a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). This includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of program outcomes. Implementation of a SAT process is federally mandated, and the program is subject to periodic review and accreditation by regulatory agencies that oversee the nuclear industry.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide oversight and direction for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Instrumentation & Controls Maintenance training.

Using a variety of instructional methods and settings, implement effective training that meets site and industry standards and the needs of the organization.

Assist the Maintenance organization in the identification and analysis of performance gaps. When appropriate, deliver training interventions to close performance gaps and advise management of needed revisions to the training program.

Collaborate with fellow instructors within and across disciplines to achieve common goals. This may include tasks such as material reviews, mentoring, and providing feedback on observed training.

Maintain an Emergency Response Organization (ERO) position and support biennial refueling and maintenance outages through special assignments.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Requires an Associate’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or trade institute and six years of technical experience in an industrial environment, of which at least two years must be as an I&C Technician or Instrumentation and Controls Training instructor;

OR completion of a formal apprenticeship program and six years of technical experience in an industrial environment, of which at least two years must be as an I&C Technician or Instrumentation and Controls Training instructor;

OR a high school diploma or GED and at least ten years of commercial or naval nuclear power plant experience with at least two years commercial nuclear power I&C Technician or Instrumentation and Controls Training instructor.


Pay Range

$109,870.00 - $137,338.00 Annual

The salary listed represents the pay range for this position. Starting pay is calculated from the minimum of the salary range and actual individual placement within the range is determined based on the candidate's experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the role. The level and final offer will also take into account the candidate's overall qualifications.


Incentive Compensation

This position is eligible for an annual at-risk compensation (ARC) incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on agency performance against defined metrics and goals which follow eligibility rules within the ARC plan document.
