Duration: 6 Months

Working Hours: 6 days/week | Project-dependent hours


Role Overview

We are looking for a Trainer (Intern) to support the onboarding, training, assessment, and certification of Field Operators working on large-scale field operations.

This is a hands-on training role, not a conventional classroom-only position. You will be responsible for taking candidates through the complete training journey, from onboarding and practical training to assessment and certification.

The role requires extensive travel across India, strong communication skills, confidence in managing groups, and the ability to strictly enforce SOPs and make objective certification decisions.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Training & Onboarding
Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions for Field Operators.|
Explain SOPs, technical processes, and field procedures in a simple and actionable manner.
Demonstrate correct equipment handling and operating procedures.
Manage training batches and maintain discipline, engagement, and focus.
Take ownership of trainees from onboarding through certification.


2. Assessment & Certification
Conduct knowledge quizzes and practical assessments.
Evaluate candidates against defined assessment criteria.
Make objective Select / Reject decisions based on performance.
Provide corrective coaching and feedback where required.
Ensure only candidates meeting the required standard are certified and deployed.
Maintain certification standards even when there is pressure to increase deployment numbers.

3. Field Training & Travel
Travel extensively across India to conduct training at different locations.
Conduct training and practical assessments in field environments.
Support newly certified Field Operators during initial deployment when required.
Adapt to changing locations, schedules, batch sizes, and operational requirements.
Be comfortable spending extended periods away from Bengaluru when required.

4. Quality, Reporting & Improvement
Ensure Field Operators follow SOPs and critical operational requirements correctly.
Identify recurring mistakes and process gaps during training.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment scores, and certification status.
Share regular updates on training progress and candidate performance.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve training content and processes.

 

Required Skills & Attributes

Communication: Strong verbal communication in multiple Indian languages and ability to explain instructions clearly to individuals and groups.
● Command & Presence: Confident managing groups, maintaining discipline, and keeping trainees focused.
● Decisiveness: Comfortable making firm pass/fail and Select/Reject decisions based on objective criteria.
● Process Discipline: Strong attention to detail and willingness to enforce SOPs exactly as defined.
● Hands-On Approach: Comfortable working directly with equipment and trainees in field environments.
● Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel extensively across India is mandatory.
● Accountability: Takes ownership of training quality, candidate readiness, certification, and documentation.
● Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing schedules and locations.

Experience & Qualifications

● 6 months–1 year of relevant experience in training, field operations, technical operations, customer support, or a similar role.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Comfortable speaking to and managing groups of people.
● Training, onboarding, demonstration, or group-handling experience is preferred.
● Experience with technical equipment, hardware, robotics, data collection, or field operations is a plus.
● Basic proficiency in Google Workspace / MS Office.

Success Metrics

● Training Effectiveness: Field Operators demonstrate the required knowledge and practical competency after training.
● Certification Quality: Only candidates meeting defined standards are certified and deployed.
● Deployment Readiness: Certified Field Operators perform required processes correctly with minimal intervention.
● Documentation Accuracy: Training, assessment, and certification records are maintained accurately.
● Process Improvement: Identify recurring training gaps and contribute actionable improvements.
