Staff Product Data Scientist, Marketplace Management - Waymo

Waymo's Product Data Science team works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Operations to help the company make the most informed decisions using data. Our team collaborates on high-impact projects across the company — from driving quality and operational efficiency to market analysis and rider satisfaction scores — we help to safely and efficiently scale the Waymo Driver. We are data-driven, curious, open-minded, and adapt quickly to new information.

In this hybrid role, you will report to a Product Data Science Director, Commercial Operations.

You will:

• Partner with various teams across Waymo (Product, Engineering, Finance, Ops) and develop an understanding of ideal outcomes for Waymo across different markets
• Build various incrementality models and productionize objective functions to drive decisions across Waymo
• Build and maintain the metrics infrastructure that tracks our performance against plan
• Communicate and present on a regular basis to Waymo leadership

You have:

• Expertise with using Data Science to drive ideal outcomes in Financial and Economic planning
• Advanced analytics skills
• Advanced SQL and Python coding skills
• Great Data visualization and communication
• Building optimization models
• 8+ years of industry experience solving data science problems (or 5+ years of experience with a PhD in a quantitative field)

We prefer:

• Experience building incrementality models
• Experience doing economics modelling for Marketplace companies
