Senior Associate Marketing Specialist, Japan

Vimeo's Demand Generation marketing team is looking for a talented, analytical, and results-driven Marketing Associate to develop and execute the Japan demand generation marketing strategy. We are looking for someone who has field marketing experience as well as a good understanding of digital demand generation channels, specifically for the Japanese market. 

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about driving demand for B2B SaaS products, this is the role for you., You'll be instrumental in generating new leads and pipeline for Vimeo Enterprise and Vimeo OTT across 3rd party events, Vimeo-hosted events, webinars, partner marketing, ABM, and integrated campaigns. Your efforts will directly contribute to acquiring, engaging, and retaining the growing number of mid-sized to enterprise businesses in Japan that rely on Vimeo for their video communication and virtual event needs.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution

  • Own the execution of demand generation and field marketing programs for Japan such as; 3rd party events, Vimeo-hosted events, webinars, partner marketing, ABM, and integrated campaigns to drive qualified leads and pipeline growth; 
  • Work closely with the global marketing team to run paid digital campaigns, SEO and to localise/scale our email nurture programs for our target audiences in Japan.
  • Manage online and offline campaign timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

Events support

  • Lead the research and execution of regional events; support in executing trade shows and conferences 
  • Support event logistics, from budgeting and vendor management to post-event analysis and follow-ups

Sales & Marketing Alignment

  • Develop the Japan demand generation marketing strategy in partnership with the local sales team to ensure marketing campaigns support their goals and provide them with qualified leads, MQLs and pipeline
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement materials to equip sales teams with relevant resources (i.e. campaign briefings, promotional assets, follow-up sequences, reports)
  • Collaborate on account targeting, lead qualification, and follow-up strategies to ensure seamless coordination between marketing and sales efforts;

Performance Analysis & Optimisation

  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation; work closely with marketing operations to improve internal processes 
  • Leverage marketing automation and analytics tools (i.e. Tableau, Salesforce) to track key metrics (i.e., lead generation, conversion rates, pipeline influence)

Professional self-growth 

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in demand generation and field marketing
  • Seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge through training, conferences, and self-learning

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • 3+ years working in a demand generation and field marketing capacity that has tight cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Experience bringing a solution to new markets and growing marketing to scale as the business grew.
  • Experienced in executing demand generation campaigns at high pace
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with campaign reporting and analysis
  • Strong understanding of lead nurturing, lead scoring, and demand generation principles
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • A passion for video marketing 
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the Japanese market landscape, including key industry trends, competitive dynamics, and cultural nuances.
  • Experience with enterprise Marketing Automation platforms (preferable Marketo) and CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce); experience with Tableau and Looker a plus.

Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed):

  • Experience with video technology is a substantial plus
