Job description

At SolarWinds, we’re a people-first company. Our purpose is to enrich the lives of the people we serve—including our employees, customers, shareholders, partners, and communities. Join us in our mission to help customers accelerate business transformation with simple, powerful, and secure solutions.

The ideal candidate thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment and is collaborative, accountable, ready, and empathetic. We’re looking for individuals who believe they can accomplish more as a team and create lasting growth for themselves and others. We hire based on attitude, competency, and commitment. Solarians are ready to advance our world-class solutions in a fast-paced environment and accept the challenge to lead with purpose. If you’re looking to build your career with an exceptional team, you’ve come to the right place. Join SolarWinds and grow with us!

We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at least 3 days at the office (with mandatory Wednesdays and Thursdays) and 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Puszkarska 7J/Building E, 30-644 Kraków, Polska.

We employ only via an employment contract – FTE.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a Scrum team of .NET/React engineers building the next generation of the SolarWinds eCommerce platform. This team owns critical parts of the self‑service purchase, renewal, and account‑management experience for our customers, integrating tightly with our SolarWinds Observability SaaS platform to remove friction from end‑to‑end buying flows.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and grow a Scrum team (5–8 engineers) working with .NET, React, microservices, and micro-frontend.
  • Provide technical direction for your team in close partnership with product management and architecture.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of secure, performant, and reliable customer-facing eCommerce experiences.
  • Drive engineering excellence: clean architecture, code quality, test automation, CI/CD, ownership and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ensure production readiness and operations: monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up improvements.

You will report to a Director of Software Engineering and collaborate with stakeholders from Product, UX, Architecture, Billing/Finance, GTM and other platform teams across the globe.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in professional software development, ideally on customer-facing web or eCommerce products.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a software engineering team (Engineering Manager or Team Lead) in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET, React, microservices, exposure to micro-frontends and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Proven track record of delivering features end-to-end with high quality, leveraging CI/CD, test automation, and strong observability practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a multi-site or distributed engineering organization.
  • Experience in eCommerce, payments, billing, subscriptions, or other high-traffic web applications is a strong plus.
  • Language: English and Polish at full professional proficiency.

Our benefits:

  • 10 study days per year
  • 2 volunteering days per year
  • 30-day holidays after 5-year tenure, Sabbatical Leave
  • 4 weeks of paternity leave
  • Up to 8700 PLN personal education budget per year
  • 300 PLN corrective glasses reimbursement every two years
  • Medical care with Luxmed – individual, partner, or family package fully paid by the company
  • The company fully pays for group life insurance
  • Pension scheme (employee capital plans) with 1.5% employer contribution
  • Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning
  • English/Polish classes
  • MyBenefit platform with a monthly subsidy of 103 PLN (with various vouchers and Multisport cards available)
  • 500 PLN per year of race fee reimbursement
  • Solarian Referral Program
  • SolarWinds Appreciation Program
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Free lunches at the office on Wednesdays
