Location: Remote (U.S.-based) with occasional travel for site visits and business-related events

Job Summary: 

The LOVBYouth Social Media Intern supports day-to-day content creation, publishing, and community engagement across LOVB's Youth social channels, including @lovbclubs and @lovbtournaments. You will help bring club, athlete, tournament, and community stories to life through engaging, on-brand social content that reflects the energy and culture of youth volleyball. 

Working closely with the Social Media Specialist, Youth, you will help ideate, create, edit, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. In a remote setting, you will transform photos and videos submitted by clubs, athletes, and events into polished social content. During select tournaments and activations, you will capture and edit content in realtime and help showcase the athlete, club, and fan experience. This role is well-suited for a creative and organized emerging marketer who understands social media and is plugged into youth and club volleyball culture. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Content Creation & Publishing 

Support day-to-day content creation and publishing across LOVBYouth social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. 
Ideate and produce social content that amplifies club, athlete, tournament, and community stories under the direction of the Youth Social Media team. 

Transform photos and videos submitted by clubs, athletes, and events into polished, on-brand social content. 

Capture and edit photo and short-form video content using mobile and desktop editing tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Canva. 

Write engaging social media captions using established LOVBbrand voice, messaging, and content guidelines. 

Schedule and publish approved content according to established social calendars, priorities, and processes.


Live Event Coverage 

Support social content collection and publishing during select youth volleyball tournaments, club events, and other LOVB activations. 

Capture timely photo and video content that showcases athletes, clubs, competition, fans, and the broader event experience. 

Edit and prepare social content in realtime using mobile or desktop tools to support timely event coverage. 

Coordinate with Youth Marketing and event partners to understand content priorities and ensure appropriate coverage of assigned moments. 

Community Engagement & Trends 

Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and community engagement across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook using established guidelines and escalation processes. 

Track emerging social media trends, platform features, youth volleyball conversations, and relevant cultural moments to contribute content ideas. 

Identify and share compelling club, athlete, and community stories that could be amplified through LOVBYouth channels. 

Gather basic social performance information and observations to help the Youth Social Media team understand content performance and audience engagement. 

Required & Preferred Skills/Abilities: 

Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including current content formats and platform conventions. 

Experience capturing and editing engaging photo and video content. 

Experience creating short-form social video using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut. 

Experience with light graphic design and photo editing using Canva, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar tools. 

Strong writing skills with the ability to develop concise and engaging social media captions.
Strong understanding of youth and club volleyball culture and the types of content that resonate with athletes, families, clubs, and fans. 

Demonstrated ability to identify social trends and translate them into relevant content ideas.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing content, assets, schedules, and deadlines. 

Ability to work independently while seeking feedback and direction when appropriate.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides. 

Experience building an engaged TikTok audience and creating compelling, repeat-viewing short-form content is strongly preferred.

Education and Experience: 

● Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media,Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
● Previous internship, academic,freelance, volunteer, or professional experience creating social media contentis preferred. 

● Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form photo and video content for social platforms. 

● Knowledge of or experience within youth, club, or collegiate volleyball is strongly preferred.
● Application must include a Gondola account link or social media portfolio demonstrating relevant content creation experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements (Remote): 

Ability to operate a computer and use a keyboard, mouse, mobile device, camera equipment, and video conferencing tools. 

Ability to clearly communicate via video, phone, and written channels. 

Occasional travel is required January-July for tournaments, events, and activations.
Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays based on tournament and event schedules and within the approved part-time hourly schedule. 

Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, with scheduling coordinated around business and event needs.
