Job description

StackAdapt is the leading technology company that empowers marketers to reach, engage, and convert audiences with precision. With 465 billion automated optimizations per second, the AI-powered StackAdapt Marketing Platform seamlessly connects brand and performance marketing to drive measurable results across the entire customer journey. The most forward-thinking marketers choose StackAdapt to orchestrate high-impact campaigns across programmatic advertising and marketing channels.

As we continue to scale, we're building the operational infrastructure to match — and that starts with our People & Culture team. We're looking for a Senior Staff, People Technologist to serve as the strategic owner of our entire People Tech ecosystem. This role reports to the Senior Manager, People Technology. This is a high-impact, senior IC role that sits at the intersection of HR systems, automation, AI, and organizational enablement.

This role will partner closely with the broader People & Culture team — including People Experience, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and People Business Partners — as well as IT and cross-functional business stakeholders to ensure People Tech systems meet the needs of the entire organization.

StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support the development and execution of the end-to-end People Technology roadmap, contributing deep technical expertise and a strong POV on prioritization, system administration, integration strategy, and long-term direction across all P&C tools (HRIS, ATS, performance modules, and beyond)
  • Lead the centralization and optimization of People Tech systems, identifying efficiency gains and ensuring consistent, scalable processes across the P&C team and employee base
  • Design and implement automation and AI-powered workflows across the People Tech stack, accelerating the team's ability to deliver better employee experiences faster
  • Act as the primary hub in a hub-and-spoke model, partnering with P&C sub-teams to understand their technology needs and ensuring they are equipped with the tools and processes to operate efficiently
  • Build and maintain API integrations and cross-system data flows, ensuring systems communicate effectively and data integrity is maintained across platforms
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies, staying ahead of the curve on HR tech innovation and advising leadership on strategic tool investments
  • People Tech roadmap published and actively maintained within first 90 days
  • Reduction in manual processes across at least 2 P&C functions within 6 months
  • Stakeholder satisfaction scores from P&C sub-teams on technology support
  • Number of automation/AI workflows deployed and adoption rates
  • System uptime, data integrity, and integration health metrics

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Demonstrated experience owning and administering a portfolio of HR technology systems, including HRIS, ATS, and performance management platforms
  • Deep expertise in automation, AI-powered workflows, and system integrations — including hands-on experience with API design and implementation
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to support and contribute to a multi-year technology roadmap for senior stakeholders
  • Experience operating in a hub-and-spoke or shared-services model, balancing competing stakeholder needs with a clear POV on prioritization
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical P&C partners
