Responsibilities:

Design and implement improvements to Five9 ACD subsystem ensuring exceptional code quality and thorough testing (both at unit, sub-system and integration level).
Provide technical expertise for implementing new features in Google Cloud Platform ensuring high availability, high scalability and multitenancy properties.
Participate in sprint planning, stories and task planning.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
5 years of professional experience in the position offered, or related capacity.
Please note, 2 days per week working onsite in the Porto office is required for this role.

Preferred Skills:

7+ years of industry experience in backend software development.
5 years of experience in design and development of software using Java.
Strong expertise in development and deployment technologies and programming libraries: Java EE (EJB, JMS, JMX), JBoss, Tomcat, JDBC.
Strong understanding Automatic Call Distribution functionality.
Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms.
Strong experience in developing real-time high volume 24/7 systems.
Extensive experience developing microservices.
Extensive experience building REST APIs.
Expertise in Spring, Kubernetes.
Experience in developing distributed systems.
Strong understanding of event-driven systems.
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases and caches.
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
