About the Role

Verifone is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Payments Product Management Leader to own and drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of our end-to-end payment solutions (Hardware, Apps, Gateway, Acquiring) for the Nordics market. The solution entails working across the Verifone’s product stack including Payment devices, embedded and cloud-based payment applications, gateway services and acquirer integrations. This cross-functional role will shape how merchants deploy, manage, and scale unified commerce experiences using Verifone’s ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and evolve the product and solution for the entire Verifone stack: hardware, software, payment gateway, and acquiring connectivity.
  • Identify customer pain points and market opportunities across in-store, omnichannel, and eCommerce environments in the Nordics.
  • Translate high-level business goals into product strategies, epics, and detailed feature roadmaps.
  • Manage a team of product owners of individual product lines and drive the end to end product and solution vision.
  • Build a deeper understanding of the customer and partner eco-system of Verifone in how they integrate and use Verifone’s products and services 

Hardware & Software Integration

  • Work with hardware teams to prioritize terminal form factors, certifications (PCI, EMV, EAA), and lifecycle upgrades.
  • Work with the cross functional leads to influence development of payment application (e.g., semi-integrated, Android app frameworks, app marketplaces).
  • Ensure device, OS, and application firmware support seamless deployment, monitoring, and enhancements.

Payment Gateway & Acquiring

  • Own features needed from a differentiation and market/customer needs and manage its execution with the development teams.
  • Manage gateway connectivity to multiple acquirers/processors, ensuring resiliency, failover support, and global coverage.
  • Collaborate with acquiring and partner teams to launch new acquiring pathways and support alternative payment methods.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner with engineering, UX, sales, support, and operations to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Serve as voice of the customer, balancing user needs with platform constraints and regulatory demands.
  • Define KPIs (e.g., time to first transaction, success rates, latency, conversion) and monitor product health and adoption.

Partner and Customer Enablement

  • Engage with ISVs, merchants, and strategic partners to gather feedback and influence roadmaps.
  • Present product plans and updates to senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholders
  • Understand the key enablement functions for customers and partners to integrate, board end merchants, automate the boarding, setup and management of the services
  • Develop and streamline the processes and workflows for customers to easily board, activate devices with ease. 
  • Provide a way for developing appropriate billing, invoicing, and partner portal for supported commercial models for partners to do business with Verifone

Skills and Experience you'll need

  • 12+ years of experience in product management, preferably in payments or fintech.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional products across hardware and software layers including card present, e-commerce gateway and card acquiring.
  • Deep understanding of payment processing flows, device provisioning, POS applications, and gateway/acquirer protocols (e.g., ISO 8583, NEXO, FRv6).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards (e.g., PCI PTS, P2PE, GDPR, ADA).
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Financial, Commercial and go to market motions based on each customer segment and establish process for data driven decisions

Advantageous:

  • Experience with payment terminals (Verifone, Ingenico, Android POS)
  • Experience with different payment gateways. 
  • Experience working with merchant acquirers, PayFacs, or payment orchestration providers.
  • Prior background in product lifecycle management (PLM) or hardware/software commercialization.
