Job Description

As a senior product designer, you will be working as part of a cross-functional team to imagine, articulate, craft, document, and deliver the core part of the product used by business users and data analysts. You’ll work on high impact product areas like data search, live dashboards, AI assistant, and personalized homepage. Collectively these play a pivotal role in the company's success, supporting our mission of making the world more fact driven.

With a product and business strategy that uniquely prioritizes and values the user experience, ThoughtSpot relies on a design-centric approach that puts the quality, originality, and craft of design at the forefront.

As a member of our design team, you will work on projects that utilize AI-driver business insights that are delivered to customers across different experiences like search, conversational, emails, and others. In addition to working within a clear creative hierarchy, you will have the opportunity to utilize the elements contained in our robust and comprehensive UX framework of components, widgets, and surfaces, thus freeing your creative and intellectual efforts to focus on the enormous challenge of imagining and expressing a truly amazing user experience.

You’ll also work shoulder-to-shoulder with an experienced, world-class team of creative leaders and product executives – an experience that will grow your skills, challenge your ideas, and push you to the next level of your career.

And finally, the impact of the ideas, experiences, and deliverables you will craft as a designer at ThoughtSpot will help individuals around the world to gain unique and valuable data insights – insights that will empower them to make confident fact-based decisions.

What you will be doing:

  • Engage in a disciplined and repeatable design process to envision and execute on thoughtful experiences that solve specific business problems.
  • Work closely with PM and engineering counterparts to drive alignment and build influence on the outcome.
  • Simplify complex problems and drive clarity by articulating designs using appropriate tools: low-fidelity deliverables, prototypes, mockups, etc.
  • Closely partner with other designers, and content strategists to perfect and deliver original design solutions.
  • Present, lead conversations, and drive issues to closure during weekly design reviews with creative heads.
  • Write and deliver detailed design specs.

What you bring:

  • Commitment to original thinking and desire to produce work that is both novel and demonstrably better than anything else in the industry.
  • Desire to be part of a world-class team, pushing yourself to grow, and ensuring that everyone is proud of the work we produce together.
  • Strong creative judgment and taste developed over years of experience observing people using software.
  • A growth mindset, relentless curiosity, and deep passion for UI design.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A portfolio of relevant, high-quality, software design artifacts that demonstrate your competence across the full spectrum of design competencies and skills.
