Job description

FloQast is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to own payroll for our US and Canada employees. You'll be the in-house expert on our HRIS, UKG Pro (UltiPro), run our bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls, and help us clean up and improve how payroll works in UKG so there's less manual effort and fewer workarounds.

You'll also coordinate with the third-party providers who handle payroll for our international teams, and work closely with HR, Benefits, and Accounting. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership of processes, maintaining clear documentation, and driving improvements to create more efficient and scalable workflows.

*Visa sponsorship is NOT available at this time.

What You’ll Do:
  • Process multi-state US and Canada payroll accurately and on time, including bi-weekly payrolls, off-cycle payments, and manual checks

  • Serve as the in-house expert for UKG Pro payroll and Workforce Management Dimensions, including configuration, troubleshooting, and working with UKG support

  • Review and simplify our current UKG setup, and replace manual workarounds with sustainable, well-controlled processes

  • Write and maintain clear payroll procedures and process documentation so that payroll can be run by someone else when needed

  • Act as primary point of contact for our international payroll providers (UK, Australia, Germany, India): review inputs and outputs, reconcile results, and make sure employees are paid correctly and on time

  • Perform and or support the reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger with Accounting each cycle, and support audit and compliance requests

  • Maintain strong payroll controls, including approvals, access, and separation of duties

  • Record and process employee changes, including leaves of absence, salary changes, and reporting changes

  • Make sure new hire and termination data flows correctly from HRIS into payroll

  • Manage state tax registrations and ongoing tax filings, and keep employee tax profiles accurate

  • Work with Benefits and HR Business Partners on deductions, open enrollment, and other payroll-related processes

  • Work with the HRIS Manager to get the most out of UKG

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

  • Help train and back up team members as the payroll function grows

  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed

  • What You’ll Bring:
  • 5 to 7+ years of hands-on payroll experience, with at least 3 years processing payroll in UKG Pro (UltiPro)

  • Experience processing multi-state US payroll and Canadian payroll

  • Experience supporting or coordinating international payrolls with outside providers

  • Experience in a growing company with 700+ employees across multiple countries

  • Comfort running payroll independently, including when something goes wrong mid-cycle

  • Experience documenting processes and improving or cleaning up existing payroll setups

  • Strong understanding of payroll tax, compliance, and internal controls

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • CPP preferred

  • Strong Excel skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and G-Suite

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight, recurring deadlines

  • Clear written and verbal communication, with a collaborative, helpful attitude

  • High integrity and a track record of protecting confidential information

  • A sense of ownership and pride in getting it right
