Senior ASIC Architect
Job Description
- As a Senior ASIC Architect, you will be on the leading edge of the development and definition of advanced, high-performance custom silicon that embodies functions from a wide range of protocols, algorithms, and applications.
- At Ethernovia, a Senior ASIC Architect is expected to champion for new projects and work closely with software architects, marketing lead, senior management, and customers to define the products that we build.
- You will be expected to flesh out these product definitions with precise specifications of: an ASIC's internal and external interactions, data flow, processing algorithms across a number of disciplines, resource management, and software interfaces.
- You will coordinate the work of teams of engineers across a wide range of disciplines: ASIC design, verification, software engineering, API design, system-level design, etc.
- You will be trusted to be a self-starter who can work with very little guidance or oversight.
- You will be located in Canada, and reporting to our San Jose, CA headquarters.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, ASIC design, or related fields.
- Experience launching projects.
- Deep experience with ASIC and/or system architecture.
- Experience with a range of standards (e.g., Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, InfiniBand, SOME/IP, PCIe, CSI-2, CAN FD, Thunderbolt, HDMI, etc.).
- Experience writing clear, well-organized, complete, and accurate specifications.
Personal Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus for an effective path forward.
- Ability to run efficient, effective meetings.
- Excellent presentation skills in front of colleagues, customers, and investors.
