You’ll join the Music Publishing Deal Analysis team within FP&A, where we partner closely with Licensing, Legal, and Finance to shape the economics behind Spotify’s music business. This team plays a key role in evaluating and structuring publishing deals that support creators while ensuring long-term sustainability for Spotify. You’ll work at the intersection of music, data, and strategy, helping translate complex agreements into clear financial insights that guide decision-making.
What You'll Do
Partner with Licensing, Accounting, and Legal teams to evaluate global and regional music publishing deals
Build and maintain financial models to assess deal economics, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
Translate contract terms into clear financial insights and materials to support decision-making
Track and develop KPIs to evaluate deal performance and long-term cost impact
Collaborate with Finance, Data, Engineering, and Product teams to support deal implementation and strategy
Communicate financial risks and opportunities to stakeholders and leadership in a clear, actionable way
Support ongoing deal operations, including amendments, renewals, and new rights categories
Improve internal tools, templates, and processes to streamline deal analysis
Stay informed on music industry trends, including publishing, independent labels, and regulatory changes
Who You Are
You have 3+ years experience in FP&A, deal analysis, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role
You are experienced in building financial models and working through structured analytical problems independently
You are comfortable working with large datasets and have experience with SQL or similar tools
You are interested in developing technical skills, including exposure to AI-enabled tools and workflows
You can interpret commercial terms and collaborate effectively with Legal, Business Affairs, or deal-focused teams
You balance strong attention to detail with sound judgment on priorities and materiality
You communicate clearly and can explain complex analysis to a range of stakeholders
You are curious, ask thoughtful questions, and enjoy building expertise in complex domains
