About the Role
We are seeking a talented Technical Project Manager to help us build the most simple and affordable legal services experience on the planet.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects with different teams in different locations, helping plan and prioritize resources and sprints. You will work directly with the head of Program Management and the leaders of our Infrastructure team to build, run, and optimize Rocket Lawyer’s Cloud & Data landscape
To succeed, you must have experience working directly with engineers and engineering management across globally distributed teams, but also have demonstrable experience engaging with designers, content teams, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams across the organization. You should have a proven track record of delivering technical solutions at large scales, on time, and with high customer impact. As a key member of the Technology team, your efforts will make a direct impact on the experiences of millions of customers as well as establish the Rocket Lawyer Platform as a standard of world-class engineering.
Responsibilities
Work with the Product Development team on roadmap planning, dependency identification and resource planningMaintain the RAID log, using it to proactively identify critical risks and dependencies and create contingency plansPlan and execute major product Delivery milestonesCommunicate clearly and effectively to management on plans, status, and critical issuesKnow when to escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure in a timely mannerPartner with cross-functional teams involved to track critical milestones and dependent work streamsCollaborate with Product, Sales, Business Intelligence, and other teams in support of business objectives Coordinate scrum ceremonies and other Agile processesCreate and maintain project documentation as needed to ensure transparency and accountabilityHelp train and evangelize your teams on the use of Agile tools and best practicesDocument current Program Management processes and help standardize process improvements
Requirements
4+ years experience in managing infrastructure, operations, or Engineering-driven projectsA solid understanding of SDLC and consistent record of achieving objectives Experience working with distributed teamsFamiliarity working on cross functional projects and interacting with multiple stakeholders to ensure Delivery on time is a big plusAbility to build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders, both internal and externalImpeccable communication skills, written and verbalProven critical thinking and problem solving abilitiesProficiency with Jira and Confluence requiredPreference for prior technical experience or proven experience leading technical projectsPreference for PMP or PMI certification, or working toward itStrong ability to manage through ambiguity and to handle multiple prioritiesStrong sense of ownership and accountability for program successPassionate about Rocket Lawyer’s mission
