About the Role

iCapital is seeking an experienced Vice President who wants to support the way alternative products are delivered to clients. In this role on the Platform Operations team, this individual will oversee the delivery of technical and operational requirements for our alternative investments business.

This role will lead a team focusing on operational excellence, technical operations, and support. This position is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our recurring platform operations and technical aspects while maintaining a client-centric approach. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team executing day-to-day platform operations for the alternative investment business. Ensure alignment and adherence to operational standards.
  • Drive efficiency and scalability within the business-as-usual (BAU) Operations team and provide training and guidance on processes and quality control.
  • Lead book of clients and team of 3-5 for middle office and pipeline Operation team.
  • Manage a dedicated book of alternative investment clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables for recurring business activities such as fund launches, platform configurations, technical operations, and ongoing support.
  • Manage issues, escalation, and stakeholder management.
  • Responsible for daily team results while simultaneously operationalizing and improving processes.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for documentation, knowledge sharing, and process transparency within the team and across departments.
  • Work cross-departmentally with several internal teams, including client management, product, and fund origination, collaborating to troubleshoot issues, identify platform enhancements, and support overall business objectives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a related industry with 3+ in platform operations, middle office operations, or similar functions within FinTech, financial services, or Alternatives,
  • Experience with high growth company is preferred
  • Proven experience managing a small operations-oriented team in a growth-stage environment, ideally within fintech, financial services, or a related field. Experience onboarding new hires is a plus
  • Meaningful experience leading operations with ticketing management, client responsiveness, and solving operational and support issues
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to express complex ideas and concepts
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting and drive client expectations
  • Demonstrated leadership over established processes and required enhancements in the middle office operations or similar domains
  • Excellent client-facing skills and communication style and proven ability to deal with key clients
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Alternatives experience is a plus

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).

We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
