Job description

About Zipline

Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.

Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.

Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.

We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.

About the Marketing Team

The Marketing team helps people discover, try, and continue using Zipline. We work across lifecycle, merchandising, and growth to create campaigns and customer experiences that support awareness, conversion, retention, and repeat usage.

Our team partners closely with Product, Creative, Commercial, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations to bring campaigns and experiments to life. This is a fast-moving, cross-functional team where creativity, customer empathy, and analytical thinking come together to support Zipline’s growth.

The Role

Zipline is looking for a Marketing Operations & Project Management Intern to help our marketing and creative teams bring ideas to life. You’ll help organize incoming requests, track project timelines, and make it easier for teams to see what needs to happen next.
You’ll work alongside experienced marketers and creative partners on campaigns, launches, and brand projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how work moves from an initial request to a finished customer experience, while helping the team stay organized along the way.

What You'll Do

  • Help maintain project plans and trackers so owners, deadlines, and next steps are clear.
  • Gather information for new marketing requests and help ensure each project has a clear goal, list of deliverables, and timeline.
  • Follow up with team members on project updates and flag missing information or possible delays early.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and follow through with owners to keep decisions and action items moving.
  • Help coordinate meetings, kick offs, reviews and approvals for creative work across marketing teams.
  • Organize project files, templates, and process guides so information is easy to find.
  • Support campaign and production logistics, such as tracking deliverables, vendor details, and launch checklists, with guidance from the team.
  • Look for simple ways to make recurring work easier and help document improvements.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, ideally with an interest in marketing, communications, business, consumer products, or a related field. Candidates must have completed at least the second year of their undergraduate studies.
  • Interest in marketing, creative work, operations, or project management.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear, thoughtful communication and comfort following up with people across teams.
  • Ability to manage several assignments, ask questions, and raise concerns when priorities or deadlines are unclear.
  • A willingness to learn new tools and improve how work gets done.
  • Experience with a project management tool is helpful, but not required. We care more about your curiosity, follow-through, and ability to bring clarity to a busy team.

What Success Looks Like

  • Team members can quickly see the status, owner, and next step for the projects you support.
  • Meetings have clear agendas, and decisions lead to completed actions.
  • Missing details and potential delays are surfaced early.
  • Project information is accurate, organized, and easy to find.
  • You leave the internship with practical experience helping marketing and creative projects move from planning to launch.

What Else You Should Know

This internship is a full-time position, in-person at our South San Francisco office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns (May/June - August/September). Zipline is unable to sponsor work visas for applicants to this position.

The hourly rate for this internship is $34 per hour. Additional benefits may include relocation support, a housing stipend, overtime pay, paid sick time, and other benefits, where applicable and subject to local requirements.

Candidates are limited to three (3) applications within a 30-day period.
