Five9 is looking for a Senior Learning Experience Designer to join the Revenue Enablement team and design learning experiences that help sales professionals build capability, improve performance, and drive business results.
This role partners with business leaders, subject matter experts, and learning professionals across the globe to build solutions that support sales enablement initiatives, from needs analysis through evaluation. The right candidate brings instructional design expertise, creativity, and project management discipline to deliver learning programs that move the needle on real business outcomes; not just completion counts.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design and Development
- Design and develop engaging learning solutions, performance support tools, and sales enablement programs for global audiences.
- Apply instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and performance consulting practices to create impactful learning experiences.
- Lead projects through the full development lifecycle, from analysis and design through storyboarding, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Needs Analysis and Performance Consulting
- Conduct learning needs analyses and translate business requirements into effective learning strategies.
- Serve as an internal consultant by identifying performance gaps and recommending learning and non-learning solutions.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
- Develop measurement and evaluation plans that assess learning effectiveness and business impact.
- Research and incorporate emerging learning technologies, trends, and best practices into program designs.
Cross Functional Partnership and Project Delivery
- Collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, program managers, and fellow learning professionals to build high-quality solutions.
- Use project management skills to deliver learning initiatives on time and aligned with business objectives.
- Support a collaborative global team environment that promotes innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Lead complex, high-visibility learning initiatives and influence senior stakeholders, from defining the learning strategy through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is a plus.
- 7–10 years of experience designing and developing learning solutions, ideally including experience with global sales or revenue-generating audiences, is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and adult learning principles, is required.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset are required.
- Proficiency with modern authoring, multimedia, and digital learning platforms, such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud, is required. Experience administering or developing learning within Docebo is a plus.
- Experience supporting revenue-generating organizations is highly recommended.
- Knowledge of evaluation methodologies, required. Experience on the Kirkpatrick Model is preferred.
- Experience designing learning solutions for global audiences is required.
- Experience measuring business impact and learning effectiveness is required.
- Sales enablement or sales training experience is highly recommended.
- Experience using generative AI and emerging technologies to accelerate development, personalize learning, and improve performance support is highly recommended.
- Experience applying accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, including WCAG, to digital learning solutions is highly recommended.
