Insurance Product Manager - Lemonade

We’re looking for a talented and strategic Insurance Product Manager to join our dynamic team on a mission to build the most loved Property insurance on the planet.

You’ll play a key role in shaping Lemonade’s property products, collaborating closely with our Actuarial, Underwriting, and Insurance Operations teams to ensure we’re growing profitably while delivering a best-in-class experience for our customers. As part of the Insurance Product team, you’ll help define and drive forward our product roadmap, bring new ideas to market, and measure the impact of key initiatives. This role is critical for our continued growth in the home insurance market, helping us balance innovation with sound financial performance and regulatory compliance.

In this role you'll

• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, and insurance operations experts to shape coverage, pricing adequacy, and eligibility requirements across our homeowners product suite, ensuring profitable growth and customer satisfaction.

• Advance our countrywide pricing plans, forms, and policy language to support scalable and compliant product growth, navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

• Coordinate cross-functional launches of new features and enhancements, securing necessary regulatory approvals and guiding their successful implementation.

• Craft state-specific strategies that balance local regulatory requirements, catastrophe risk, profitability targets, and market demand, driving our expansion efforts.

• Research market trends and competitor actions to inform product strategy and uncover profitable growth opportunities, keeping Lemonade at the forefront of the industry.

• Evaluate current product performance, monitor key metrics, and recommend data-driven improvements to optimize our offerings.

• Measure the impact of product changes to ensure alignment with expectations and strategic goals, informing future initiatives and continuous improvement cycles.

What you'll need

• Must have 7+ years of P&C experience, with a minimum of 5 years of personal lines homeowner insurance experience in product development, product management, or state management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, persuasive narratives.

• Proven ability to drive projects from concept to launch with full ownership, delivering results quickly and precisely.

• Strategic thinker who questions the status quo and embraces innovative solutions to complex problems.

• Superior organizational and project management capabilities, comfortable managing multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Thrives in a remote setting; proactively communicates progress and potential risks to stakeholders.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-135,000 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
