 About the Team

We are passionate about startups’ success, and building a strong community among founders and investors is core to Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet.

As the EMEA Head of New Business for Startups,  you'll lead a significant organization of 30 AEs, including 3 direct-report managers, focused on New Business Acquisition across EMEA. You'll be responsible for orchestrating high-value deals, developing systematic approaches to New business acquisition and establishing Stripe as the strategic financial infrastructure partner for the highest potential startups in EMEA 

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing organization of 30+ AE’s through 3 regional managers, establishing consistent processes for user acquisition and growth 
  • Own the EMEA Startups New Business revenue targets, 
  • Personal involvement in strategic deals and deal analysis 
  • Develop and execute the long-term growth strategy for New Business Acquisition for Startups across EMEA, focusing on winning new logos and increasing product adoption
  • Implement sophisticated  sales methodologies to systematically identify who the best Startups to go after are, balancing the need to both capture the highest potential startups but also consider how to achieve scaled acquisition across a broader base
  • Foster executive-level relationships with key prospects, serving as Stripe's senior representative in deals
  • Create specialized strategies to localise regional sales plays and increase product adoption at point of acquisition across each region
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Solution Architects, and Sales Finance to develop compelling value propositions for new opportunities
  • Design and implement strategies to  improve sales cycles and user activations across across the region 
  • Establish metrics and accountability frameworks to drive consistent performance across all teams
  • Represent Stripe at industry events to reinforce customer relationships and industry presence

 

Minimum requirements

  • Experience with Startups
  • 12+ years of sales experience with at least 4 years in Second line Management
  • Proven track record managing a large sales organization (30+ people) across multiple managers and geographies
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing multi-million dollar portfolios with consistent high performance 
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage effectively with senior leadership during high-stakes negotiations and complex pricing discussions
  • Ability to work with and through large teams of cross functional stakeholders, aligning on a vision and holding a high execution bar
  • A track record of building and scaling high-performing account executive teams across multiple European markets
  • Strategic mindset with ability to identify long-term opportunities beyond immediate target needs
  • Proven track record of coaching and mentoring managers and ICs
  • Understanding of how AI companies work
