Be the Anomali.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated, entry-level/Graduate DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines with a spassion for learning and growing in cloud-native technologies. You will contribute to designing, automating, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows while collaborating closely with experience team members. If you are eager to build your skills in automation, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Assist in implementing and maintaining infrastructure automation using Terraform and Terragrunt under the guidance of senior engineers.- CI/CD Pipelines : Collaborate with the team to build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable deployment processes. Gain experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Harness.- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Support the team in deploying and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, focusing on learning best practices for automation, cost optimization, and reliability.- Kubernetes : Participate in managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring workloads are deployed securely and efficiently. Learn to implement best practices for managing containers and scaling applications.- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to support seamless integrations of DevOps practices. Assist in defining and documenting standards for infrastructure and deployment processes.- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Learn to implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues. Provide support in incident resolution and root cause analysis.- Tool Adoption : Stay curious about new DevOps tools and practices, contributing ideas to improve team workflows and processes.- Security : Understand and help implement basic security practices within the DevOps workflow, including access control and key management.QualificationsRequired Skills/Experience:- Education/Experience : A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree. Additionally, any experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role is preferred. Relevant coursework, internships or technical knowledge are required.- Terraform : Basic understanding of Terraform or a similar IaC tools. Hands-on experience with simple infrastructure deployments in a bonus.- Kubernetes : Foundational knowledge of Kubernetes concepts (pods, deployments, services, etc.). Familiarity with managing containers using Docker is desirable.- CI/CD Pipelines : Exposure to continuous integration and deployment processes. Familiarity with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions in a plus.- Cloud Platforms: Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with core services like compute, storage, and networking is advantageous.- Version Control: Experience with Git-based version control (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).- Scripting : Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python to automate tasks is helpful.- Eager to Learn : Passion for developing new skills and growing in a fast-paced DevOps environment.- Problem Solving : Ability to approach technical challenges with curiosity and determination.- Collaboration : Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, asking questions, and seeking guidance when needed.- Communication : Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.- Adaptability : Open to feedback and capable of adapting to evolving technologies and priorities.- This position is onsite at our Redwood City, CA HQ. Currently, the team is working Mon/Tue/Wed onsite and Thu/Fri remote.Preferred Qualifications- Terragrunt : Exposure to or willingness to learn Terragrunt for managing Terraform configurations.- Monitoring Tools : Awareness of observability tools like New Relic or similar platforms.- Security Practices : Interest in learning about security practices in DevOps, such as securing secrets and enforcing policies.- Networking: Basic understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments.
