Job Description:

The main purpose of this position is to support the company’s retention initiatives by interacting and building rapport with our drivers. Our Driver Relations Specialist will collect feedback on driver issues and work directly with the Operations to generate improvement processes to better the driver experience.  Additionally, the Driver Retention Specialist will conduct check-in interviews at integral employment milestones, conduct final interviews on prospective candidates, and other processes to aid with the improvement of the general driver experience.  Retention Specialist must have excellent people skills with problem-solving instincts as well highly compassionate. If you genuinely enjoy helping people and building relationships, this is the position for you! 



Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct new hire check in calls at 7, 30, 60 and 90 days
  • Assist with driver’s issues reported by drivers and dispatchers and support operations management with solving
  • Identify drivers who are potential retention issues and keep in close contact to correct their situation
  • Proactively call drivers to identify any potential problems/obtain general feedback
  • Communicate daily with operations and retention management team via call and email
  • Conduct Exit Interviews for resigning drivers and identify opportunities for retention
  • Ability to build genuine rapport with drivers
  • Assist with booking travel for drivers when applicable 



Preferred Experience:     

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service related role
  • Experience in Trucking/Logistics is preferred but not required
