Job description

Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product—an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis—provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. Heartflow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare.

Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL) that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been used for more than 750,000 patients worldwide.

The Director, HR Operations & Benefits leads the design, implementation, and administration of operational processes used to deliver global HR programs and projects. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, this role drives HR program implementations across compensation, global benefits, performance management, and salary administration.

The Director develops scalable methodologies to optimize global HR Operations, streamline the employee lifecycle—including global onboarding, offboarding, compensation, benefits, leave management and mobility. Additionally, this role oversees immigration processes, manages policies, and leads the HRIS ecosystem to ensure secure, compliant data management and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and manage a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and development across HR Operations.
  • HRIS Administration: Oversee HRIS (ADP) and other HR systems architecture, maintenance, optimization, and data integrity to support global HR operations and analytics.
  • Global Benefits Management: Lead the strategy, design, and administration of global health, welfare, retirement, and wellness plans. Manage vendor, broker, and consultant relationships, contract negotiations, and annual renewal processes.
  • Global & Regional Compliance: Maintain up-to-date company handbooks and policies across various jurisdictions; ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international employment regulations (including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, and COBRA). Oversee HR frameworks supporting global team members, aligning policy and operational support with regional labor standards.
  • Immigration & Mobility: Manage end-to-end employee immigration workflows, visa sponsorships, and international relocation or operational logistics.
  • Financial & Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Finance and Legal on payroll processing, tax filings, audit preparations, and billing reconciliations. Support audit processes related to SOX and ISO.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency with HRIS configuration, reporting and analytics. Experience with ADP preferred.
  • Deep expertise in global benefits administration, leave management, immigration processes, and global compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage and scale global processes and develop direct reports in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging AItools critically, balancing efficiency gains against new hire experience, fairness, and compliance considerations.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • 12+ years with progressively senior HR Operations/Benefits leadership experience in a public company.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-driven workflows and automation for HR Ops

A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $200,000 to $280,000, bonus, and equity.
