Devops Team Lead - Transmit Security

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Team Lead to guide and support a team of three DevOps engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, Data services, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies, along with leadership experience to drive team success.

What you’ll do:

1. Lead, mentor, and support a team of 3  DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Be an integral part in our roadmap planning from project inception and design, through deployment, operations and maintenance.
3. Define team goals, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects and infrastructure improvements.
4. Work closely with R&D teams / Product managers to enhance and drive our service reliability.
5. Be a part of architecture designs.
6. Focus on both velocity and production stability.
7. 50% of hands-on work
8. Continuously push for modernizing our DevOps practices to help drive for efficiency and better agility throughout the entire company.
9. Implement best of breed applications and toolings throughout our entire technology stack to help drive for optimal performance of every pillar of our applications infrastructure

What you’ll need:

1. 2+ years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role, with a focus on mentoring and guiding technical teams.
2. At least 3 years of Devops experience hands-on experience 
3. At least 3 years of experience in production environment
4. At least 3 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure as code - GCP.
5. At least 3 years of experience with K8s and its echo-system
6. Good familiarity with devops patterns and methodologies such as gitops, helm,deployment patterns, CI/CD patterns and implementation.
7. Experience with Google data products such as BigQuery, BigTables, CloudSQL, Cloud Spanner
8. Network concepts and WAF experience.
9. Experience with machine learning serving platforms such as Ray, Vertex - Advantage
10. Experience with Datapipelines / Apache beam - advantage
11. Cloudflare - Big advantage
12. Github, ArgoCD - advantage.
