We work in a hybrid mode 3+2, with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment (HPP).

 

Overview


As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our production systems. You will design and operate cloud-based infrastructure, implement automation and observability at scale, and drive incident response practices that keep our mission-critical systems running smoothly. This role focuses on production system reliability, blending systems engineering expertise with modern DevOps/SRE practices.

Key Responsibilities


1. Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability

  • Design, implement, and manage highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architectures on Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
  • Apply site reliability engineering (SRE) principles to production systems, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and performance.
  • Manage hybrid and multi-cloud production workloads with a focus on uptime, security, and resilience.


2. Automation & Infrastructure as Code

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate environment provisioning and configuration.
  • Continuously improve production system workflows through automation, reducing manual interventions and operational risk.

3. Observability & Incident Response

  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
  • Lead incident response for production systems, including root cause analysis, documentation, and implementing preventative measures.
  • Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to guide operational priorities.

4. System Design & Integration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate cloud-native solutions into the production environment.
  • Evaluate existing production systems and drive improvements for performance, security, and reliability.
  • Ensure system architectures adhere to best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance.

5. Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize production infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost savings.
  • Leverage modern DevOps toolchains and frameworks to streamline production workflows.
  • Champion continuous improvement in operational excellence and system resiliency.

6. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with engineers, security, and operations teams to ensure system stability and business continuity.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise in cloud operations, automation, and incident management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer supporting production systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure (multi-cloud experience a plus).
  • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) for infrastructure and operations.
  • Solid knowledge of observability tooling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills in complex production environments.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and system performance optimization in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead in high-pressure incident scenarios and drive long-term operational improvements.
