Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer with strong graphic design skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will create sophisticated, responsive, and secure web experiences for Govini.com and Ark.ai, while designing engaging graphics for these websites and additional digital platforms. This role requires both technical web development expertise and creative design capabilities to deliver professional web solutions that serve our distinguished customers in the Defense and Intelligence communities.
In order to do this job well, you must have advanced technical skills in modern web technologies combined with exceptional design sensibilities. You should be capable of translating complex requirements into visually stunning and highly functional websites that perform seamlessly across all devices and browsers. You excel at balancing aesthetics with performance, security, and user experience considerations.
This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.
This role may require up to 5% travel for client presentations and technical consultations.
Scope of Responsibilities
Develop and implement responsive websites using modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platformsEnsure seamless user experience by optimizing website performance and functionality across different browsers and devicesConduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any issues or inconsistencies in design and functionalityMaintain website project documentation, including design assets, style guides, and technical specificationsStay current with industry trends and best practices in web design, development, and graphic designCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand objectives, provide design recommendations, and ensure project successCreate and maintain design systems and component libraries for consistent web experiencesImplement security best practices and ensure websites meet modern security standards

Required Skills:
Minimum of three years of professional experience in web development with a strong focus on front-end development and modern technologyBachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related fieldProficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with CMS platformsKnowledge of JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React, Angular, jQuery)Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibilityExperience with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design conceptsFamiliarity with SEO principles and web accessibility standards (WCAG)Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration abilities with proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environmentExperience with Webflow for rapid website development and deploymentExperience with database integration and dynamic content managementFamiliarity with wireframing and prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)Understanding of web analytics implementation and performance optimizationExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
