Job description

About ALSO.

We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

We're hiring a Staff Technical Program Manager, Low Voltage Electronics to own end-to-end development of low voltage electronic modules on our vehicle products. In this role, you'll partner with product, hardware and firmware engineering, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class small electric vehicles, bringing deep experience in shipping successful products to help shape execution and build processes that ensure quality and speed.

What You'll Do

  • Use your product development expertise to lead multi-disciplinary hardware projects from start to finish, managing complex electromechanical modules and platform technology across multiple product lines

  • Work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules including builds, make decisions to unblock development, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company

  • Drive the planning and implementation of customer features with cross-functional teams to hit roadmap goals, tracking progress, analyzing risks, resolving execution issues, and communicating status

  • Develop and manage module program schedules, technical issues, design release management, and resource needs with engineering and cross-functional teams

  • Manage communication of progress and status with stakeholders and leadership across locations and time zones, and own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams

  • Identify and solve the top program blockers and adapt lean processes to the organization

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related engineering field

  • 5-7+ years of experience in program management, engineering, or a similar cross-functional role

  • Track record taking complex hardware and software products from concept/proto through EVT, DVT, PVT, and launch

  • Experience managing design releases, validation test plans, build execution, and vendor management

  • Ability to understand technical discussions and provide a decision framework for continuing development

  • Clear and sharp communicator, able to hold conversations with engineering and supply chain while distilling multivariable problems into a clear path forward

  • Ability to travel internationally to vendors to support builds

The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 - $240,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.

Perks & Benefits

  • Robust health coverage — excellent health, dental and vision insurance covered up to 100% by ALSO with FSA & HSA options

  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates

  • Rich fertility and family building benefits with Progyny

  • Flexible time off

  • 401(k) match

Why ALSO.

We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world-class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces.
