Job title
Staff Product Manager – Agentic Application Security Testing
Job location
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Job description

Harness is the AI Software Delivery Platform company, led by technologist and entrepreneur Jyoti Bansal (founder of AppDynamics, acquired by Cisco for $3.7B). Harness has raised approximately $570M in funding and is valued at $5.5B, backed by leading investors including Goldman Sachs, Menlo Ventures, IVP, Unusual Ventures, Citi Ventures, and more. As AI accelerates code creation, the real bottleneck has shifted to everything after the code – testing, deployments, application security, reliability, compliance, and cost optimization. Harness brings AI and automation to this “outer loop,” helping teams ship software faster while maintaining security and governance throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle.

Powered by Harness AI and the Software Delivery Knowledge Graph, the Harness Platform applies deep context and intelligent automation across the software delivery lifecycle with governance and policy-driven controls embedded throughout the platform.

Over the past year, Harness powered over 185M deployments, 82M builds, 18T flag evaluations, 8M security scans, 9.1B optimized tests, 3T protected API calls, and helped manage $2.8B in cloud spend — enabling customers like United Airlines, Morningstar, and Choice Hotels to accelerate releases by up to 75%, reduce cloud costs by up to 60%, and achieve 10x DevOps efficiency.

With a global team across 26 offices and 27 countries, Harness is shaping the future of AI software delivery — and we’re looking for exceptional talent to help us move even faster.

About the Role

Harness is looking for a Principal Product Manager to define the future of Agentic Application Security. You will lead our Code Security and AI Security Agents portfolio, spanning static application security testing (SAST), AI-powered vulnerability triage, and autonomous remediation.

As AI coding agents transform how software is built, security must evolve beyond detecting vulnerabilities to autonomously investigating, validating, and fixing them at machine speed.

We are looking for a product leader who can help build autonomous security engineering systems that understand code, reason about security risks, generate secure fixes, and continuously validate outcomes across modern development environments.

  • Autonomous Security Agents: Define and build AI agents for threat detection, vulnerability investigation, intelligent triage, and automated remediation.
  • Agentic Security Workflows: Design end-to-end workflows where agents investigate findings, correlate security signals, assess risk, recommend actions, generate fixes, and verify outcomes.
  • Agent Skills & Integrations: Build extensible agent capabilities using skills, plugins, MCP, tool calling, and integrations across security scanners, repositories, IDEs, SCM, and CI/CD platforms.
  • Autonomous Remediation: Drive agent-powered code fixes, dependency upgrades, test execution, validation, and pull request generation with appropriate human oversight.
  • Agentic Developer Ecosystem: Integrate security capabilities into AI coding assistants and autonomous development platforms, enabling security to operate alongside developers and coding agents.
  • Product Strategy & Execution: Own product vision, differentiation, roadmap, customer adoption, and business outcomes while partnering with engineering, security research, and go-to-market teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of product management experience in AI Developer Tools, Application Security, DevSecOps, or developer platforms.
  • Hands-on experience building or delivering AI agents that autonomously plan, execute tasks, invoke tools, and complete multi-step workflows.
  • Strong understanding of LLM orchestration, agent skills, plugins, MCP, tool calling, and agentic execution frameworks.
  • Experience designing intelligent workflows for investigation, decision-making, automation, and iterative validation.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management, security detection, risk prioritization, remediation, and developer workflows.
  • Ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into reliable, secure, enterprise-grade products.
  • Proven track record of driving product strategy, technical execution, customer adoption, and measurable business outcomes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building autonomous coding agents, AI-native developer tools, or security automation platforms.
  • Background in application security testing, SAST, SCA, vulnerability management, or code scanning.
  • Familiarity with multi-agent architectures, agent memory, sandbox environments, and feedback-driven execution.
  • Knowledge of code property graphs (CPG), dataflow analysis, reachability, and threat modeling.
  • Background in software engineering, security engineering, or AI/ML.

Why Join Harness?

Help define the next generation of application security, where intelligent agents don't just identify vulnerabilities but autonomously investigate, remediate, and verify them.

At Harness, you'll work at the intersection of AI, application security, and software engineering to build security products designed for a world where humans and AI agents develop software together.

What You Will Have at Harness
