Job description

Help empower our global customers to connect to culture through their passions.

Why you’ll love this role

You will own quality across services that shape the customer experience during and after their order on StockX. Your responsibilities span the entire order lifecycle: from trade execution and delivery date calculations to managing cancellations, returns, and order page updates. You will also oversee customer support chat functionality, buyer-seller communications, real-time order history, and offer tracking. Furthermore, you will ensure the reliability of RBAC-enabled internal APIs and CRM integrations. Your testing will guarantee that customers have fast, accurate, and reliable tools to manage their orders at scale.
You will work across a rich set of systems: an internal agent portal, GraphQL APIs, event-driven Kafka pipelines, OpenSearch-powered order and customer search, the bid-ask-decorator service that surfaces market and offers/order history data to customers, the estimated-delivery-date service that powers delivery predictions across pre- and post-purchase flows, and a real-time chat platform that enables buyer-seller and agent communication. Our technical stack includes Amazon Web Services, GraphQL, Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, React, CircleCI, Kubernetes, Harness, Terraform, LaunchDarkly, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQS, Redis, Postgres, and Datadog. You will test across all of it.
Our engineers and SDETs are empowered to own quality decisions, not just execute test cases. You will be expected to identify gaps, propose solutions, and present your work in team and org-level forums.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality products
  • Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing on new and existing products
  • Review functional and technical documentation to define requirements and create clear, well-structured test cases and plans, ensuring they align with business needs and best practices.
  • Execute manual test cases and report test results by performing comprehensive testing: functional regression, end-to-end, database, web services, etc as desired
  • Drive software testing best practices, including performance, load, and security testing
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases within existing frameworks (preferably using AI)
  • Apply GitHub best practices and work within CI/CD processes
  • Work with the organisational QA team to build product knowledge, resolve challenges, and share results
  • Design, create, document, and implement test strategies, automation, tools, and processes

About You

  • 3+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages and techniques: Golang, Node, TypeScript, JS, Java, RDBMS, Rest APIs
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining test automation for Backend (predominantly), Web & Mobile Applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum QA environment
  • Mentor junior members of the team
