- Filevine is a Legal AI company delivering Legal Operating Intelligence for the future of legal work. Grounded in a singular system of truth, Filevine brings together data, documents, workflows, and teams into one unified platform—where modern legal work happens with clarity and consistency.Powered by LOIS, the Legal Operating Intelligence System, Filevine connects context across every matter to transform legal operations from reactive to proactive. LOIS reads, understands, and reasons across your data to surface insight, automate complexity, and give professionals the clarity and confidence to see more, know more, and do more. Fueled by a team of exceptional collaborators and innovators, Filevine’s rapid growth has earned AI awards and recognition from Deloitte and Inc. as one of the most innovative and fastest-growing technology companies in the country.Role Summary:We're looking for a Senior Product Manager with strong product instincts and enough technical depth to make fast, high-quality decisions across AI features, workflow design, and shipping strategy. You'll own core product areas for one of the fastest-growing legal AI platforms in the market, working directly with two exited YC founders, a senior engineering team, and real legal teams who use the product daily. This role is equal parts product intuition and technical execution. You'll run discovery, write specs, set priorities, and ship on a weekly cadence. You'll also partner closely with AI engineers on prompt strategy, retrieval quality, and workflow orchestration. This is a PM role, not a legal role. Legal domain knowledge matters because the workflows are complex and the stakes are real, but your job is to build great product, not to practice law.Responsibilities
- Own product areas end-to-end: discovery, specs, prioritization, scoping, shipping, and measuring outcomes
- Talk to customers, map their workflows, and translate legal processes into requirements engineers can build from
- Ability to partner with engineers on technical architecture, with enough depth to challenge assumptions, propose solutions, and influence design.
- Write clear product specs that engineers can build from
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, implementation, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-quality product into live legal workflows
- Work directly with executives on roadmap strategy and product direction
- Drive adoption by designing onboarding flows, measuring usage, and identifying where users get stuck
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience building enterprise products in a B2B/commercial environment
- Experience with or knowledge of AI and LLMs
- Track record of owning product areas end-to-end and shipping on a fast cadence
- Experience writing specs that engineers can build from
- Legal domain knowledge, whether from practicing law, working in legal tech, fintech, or another regulated B2B industry
- Has run structured user research: customer interviews, workflow mapping, usability testing
- Nice to have: JD or legal training (not required), experience at a legal AI company or with lawyers, legal ops, or in-house counsel as end users, or experience at an early-stage startup (<50 people)
